As the world struggles to comprehend the enormity of the disaster that has struck in the Bay of Bengal, and as many Canadians experience personal loss, our children are looking to us for guidance.

Expect the Unexpected: Recommended by Curriculum Services Canada and the Canadian Psychological Association, this program is aimed at students, parents and teachers. It features lesson plans and activities on natural disasters such as hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornados and storms.
Facing Fear: Recommended by the Canadian Psychological Association, this program was developed to help young people aged from 5 to 16 be prepared for disasters and deal with the aftermath of tragic events and terrorism. The curriculum contains lesson plans as well as activity sheets on managing emotions, the medias’ role in developing the perception of facts versus opinions and on international humanitarian law.
